We received notification from the San Jose Neighborhood Development Center this weekend that we have received a CAP grant of $2300! In order to fulfill the terms of the grant, we will need to keep close track of our volunteer hours and keep all receipts associated with these events.
The grant funds the following items:
Neighborhood BBQ $800 UNSCC $200 Insurance $100 Dumpsters $1,000 Communications $200 TOTAL $2300
The RWNA CAP Grant Proposal was submitted to San Jose yesterday. We should find out about whether we will receive any funding by Mid-May.
The proposal includes covering some administrative overhead costs, along with a request for funding a Dumpster Day, Neighborhood BBQ, Family Emergency Preparedness Class, Neighborhood 5K Walk, and a Garage Sale. A copy of the main body of the proposal is available as an attachment "RWNA CAP Cycle 22 Application Final Copy.doc" (attachments are located at the bottom of this page)
