List and figure out how to divide tasks.
1.Personal preparedness:
A. Set up Yahoo group for interested members and Wiki for those that
rather go to the website. Shall we create a signup sheet for the next general meeting for members who would like to be invited to this Wiki?
B. Send bi-monthly reminders of things to to be prepared, classes that
available, etc.
C. Put inserts into the the meeting flyers, or to hand out at meetings

2. Rainbow West Awareness efforts for meetings:
A. Set up speakers (police, fire dept., CERT, or in-house) or
demonstrations (how to turn off gas, use a fire extinguisher, etc) or
examples of personal kits for meetings to encourage neighbors to
attend
B. Freebies: 1st aide kits, wrenches, flashlights, etc. for meetings
to encourage neighbors to attend. Assuming we get some budget :)
3. Community efforts:
A. Talk to public sites about putting storage sheds and working with
them to establish procedures. Public sites could include Fire Station, Rainbow Park, Muir, Meyerholz, Miller, Lynbrook
B. Talk to hardware stores about possible freebies, discounts for
preparedness items for group sheds and personal use.
C. Establish maps and resources: locations and names/addresses/numbers of those CERT, first aide, CPR trained, Doctors, Nurses, PG&E, members, HAM operators, swimming pools, etc as well as those that need special help.
4. Solicit volunteers for CERT, CPR, First Aid classes etc.
5. Investigate communication options such as Walkie-Talkies within Rainbow West community.
6. Use neighborhood watch to begin to establish zones for preparedness as well?
